The Korea Broadcasting Journalists Club is a broadcasting media organization with more than 1,300 incumbent and former reporters of 6 companies including KBS, MBC, SBS, CBS, YTN and MBN. Since its establishment on October 12, 1989, we are focusing on improving friendships in broadcasting and developing broadcasting coverage. The Korean Broadcasting Journalists Club invites the Secretary, representatives of political parties, and community leaders when there are matters of national concern to hold live broadcast debates, and through deep and heated discussions, correctly presents the direction of government policy and helps the public’s understanding. It fulfills the basic responsibilities of broadcasting.

In addition, by awarding the quarterly BJC Journalist Award and this year’s broadcast reporting award for works that have raised awareness for social issues with fair reporting and created a national agenda, active broadcasters are motivated to cover stories and to minimize fraud. At the same time, we also hold seminars to intensively analyze and view social phenomena and problems to enhance members’ insight and deepen fellowship.

With the aim of expanding the domain through lines that have reflected the social environment that has changed since the novel coronavirus situation, we have remodeled our homepage and faithfully reflected the desires of our members, and started a media education business using our subsidiary BJC Plus. The Korean Broadcasting Journalists Club is currently preparing to leap from a group that simply seeks fellowship to a general media organization. We look forward to the active and voluntary participation of our members.
